There are MANY BENEFITS of using and Aqua Bike. Here are just a few:
One of the biggest differences of using a bike in the water is BUOYANCY not gravity. You are peddling in buoyancy (against water pressure).
As you exercise your body creates lactic acid. Your circulation is activated to get rid of lactic acid faster, so you get a better workout. Because of being in the water you are able to sprint 4 to 5 times LONGER than out of the water because, as you feel the burn, its getting recycled.
Also your core temperature stays cool. You are in 85 degree water, so your temperature stays level. A lot of the reason we run out of steam as in a regular cycle class is because our core body temperature rises, here it won’t. You will be able to keep pushing and pushing.
So basically you are able to work harder and longer and remain much more comfortable for the effort. So, what are you waiting for?

Sherry Huff
As an Instructor, I am beyond Proud to announce this Months Participant of the month. Sherry Huff.
When Sherry first came to class at Westbrook Village, she was terrified of the water to say the least. But she was willing to trust me and kept coming back. Slowly her fear turned into a little bit of fun, then more trust, less fear and so on.
Well...if you saw her TODAY, you would NEVER know she had a fear of the water. She has grown leaps and bounds. The BEST part of being an Instructor is that your participants turn into FRIENDS! Way to go Sherry. Keep up the good work. You are a shining example for MANY who share the same fear.
