Well this is more like it

Today it was positively glorious outside. Crisp breeze to remind us that we are Canadian, and some lovely warm sun to let us appreciate the summer ahead.

Bula, Edna and George spent the day in the pasture enjoying some delicious roots and maple leaves still blowing around. Miss Kitty did a complete inspection of the chicken coops-good kitty!

The dogs Nellie and Quia spent the day watching over the chickens and sleeping in the sunshine. Oprah (our pregnant sow) is due in 6 days with her piglets (yes I had the date wrong-sow sorry) squeeeee the countdown in on.

We are making her as comfortable as possible and she’s happily lapping up the attention. Calves lounging out together, flaked out in the sunshine. Many things accomplished around the farm and things are shaping up Blue Hen Beautiful!
