Our industry is the most regulated and monitored of all the trades... and rightly so! There is tremendous responsibility in maintaining any electrical system to keep them working at peak performance and to the highest safety standard.
The Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) ESA is an independent, not-for-profit corporation acting on behalf of the Government of Ontario with specific responsibilities for electrical safety. As part of its mandate, ESA administers regulation in four areas:
-
The Ontario Electrical Safety Code
-
Licensing of Electrical Contractors and Master Electricians
-
Electricity distribution system safety
-
Electrical product safety.
